How close to the wedding do you take orders?

We like to deliver your gown at least four weeks before the wedding. Please try to make life easier by allowing plenty of time, just in case, you need to have alterations at your local dressmakers.

Measuring:

All you need to do is accurately measure yourself. Every other designer charges extra for non-standard or larger brides. Because we don't mass-produce dresses, we are more able to cater for individual sizes and so don't charge any extra. This is great news for larger brides or those not blessed with a standard shape. Because each dress is made individually for a specific customer, the dresses aren't sold on a 'sale-or-return' basis i.e. we don't make your individual wedding dress for free. You are paying for the time-consuming effort of making your specific dress, as well as the fabric and haberdashery costs. We make all our dresses to order and get it right, so there should be no need for refunds or exchanges.

Typically, UK delivery is less than five weeks. We are faster than other online retailers or bridal shops because we design and manufacture our own dresses and are not at the mercy of manufacturers or imports. Does the fabric screen colour exactly match the fabric?

Different monitors running different browser software will show minor colour variations. Every effort is made to ensure that the colour on the screen matches the fabric, but if you are worried about this then you're welcome to request an example fabric swatch by filling our friendly-feedback form.

Do you send out printed brochures?

No, as it would be similar to the web site. We'd prefer to lower costs and save trees. If you have a specific question about a dress you are interested in then try our feedback form

What is your returns policy?

Denise Byrd proudly stands behind the garments that we design, make and sell. If the dress differs in any significant way from the style, fabric or size that you ordered then you can have a replacement at no extra charge or a complete refund. Simply return the item in its original condition for a full refund. Undertaking to deliver the size of dress ordered does not mean it is certain to fit - with no possibility of customer alterations being required. You need to contact us with 7 days of the goods being received otherwise no return can be accepted. Denise Byrd will not accept returns on merchandise that has been altered, worn or where a customer wants a different style/size to the original order. When returning a purchase to Denise Byrd please include the original invoice and address the package as follows:- Attention : Returns No#(your order number here) to the address on the invoice. For your protection, please send all returns via a recorded delivery method.
All our dresses are time-consumingly made to your individual order, and not sold on a 'sale or return' basis.

I want to pay in US$ dollars or in any non GBP £ currency.

No problem. We bill your credit card in GB £ sterling. Your credit card company converts that amount into your home currency on the day you are billed. We don't make any extra charge on currency conversion. Your conversion rate will be fair, implemented for example by American Express.

Does Denise Byrd ship to the USA?

Yes, we ship to the USA. When we use International ParcelForce delivery service we normal quote 5 days delivery time. It depends where in the States you are. The fastest for instance is New York. We can use DHL if a 2/3 day delivery time is needed.

I have a picture of the exact dress I want. Can you make a similar design?

The picture you have is the copyright of the designer who created the dress. The right way forward is to purchase it from the original designer. You may want the dress cheaper but we believe in fair play.
